About JHillmer

John Hillmer, Denali National Park and Preserve, AK

I enjoy taking family and event shots, but for me, nothing comes close to being out in nature with a camera -- with nature, wildlife and landscapes as my favorite subjects. The purpose of this website is to provide awe and wonder and inspiration to everyone who visits. I believe in creation, the literal interpretation of Genesis (as well as the rest of the Bible) and as I shoot these various subjects, my beliefs are all the more confirmed that all of this just didn't happen coincidentally or randomly.

Unless specifically documented to the contrary, none of the wildlife photographed and displayed here were filmed in captivity. No wildlife subjects were harmed or restrained in any way to obtain any of these photographs.  All of the wildlife, animals, insects, were fully alive, and unrestrained as I photographed them.
